Fraternity Groups Acquire Insurance Brokerage Firm

Triangle is pleased to announce that it has joined with three other fraternities to acquire James R. Favor & Company, a Risk Management and Insurance Brokerage firm that has been providing Risk Management and Insurance resources to the fraternity and sorority community for over 25 years. Mr. Favor, the entire present staff and all underwriters have been retained to continue and are committed to expanding their work with the fraternity and sorority community.

Triangle and its partners -- Phi Delta Theta, Sigma Alpha Mu, and Sigma Alpha Epsilon -- have undertaken this venture in order to help preserve the stability of our insurance coverage over the coming years. Day-to-day operations of the Favor Company and of Triangle will remain unchanged, and we do not anticipate any significant alterations in the ways that our chapters interact with the Favor Company or in the premiums that are currently paid by our chapters.

National Council is grateful for the assistance of Triangle's Building Loan Fund, which has provided most of the funds for Triangle's involvement in this purchase.
