A short update on recent National Council happenings...
The search for a new Executive Director continues. The search committee headed by Kevin Robertson received more than twenty applications, and is in the process of narroving them down to a handful of finalists for interviews.
National President Don Hatfield is one of the applicants, so in order to prevent a potential conflict of interest, he has recused himself from most Council discussions and votes until his status is resolved by the search committee. VP Robertson is running Council in the interim.
We received several strong applicants for the position of 2006-07 Active Advisor, and ultimately chose Patrick Lindley of the Illinois Chapter. He will begin his term at next month's Leadership School.
Triangle's active membership grew slightly this year, with the May active/pledge total at 919 men, up from 873 at the same time last year.
